Website and application to compute individual kinetic profiles of serum tumor biomarkers that may indicate treatment efficacy

Briefing

Pr Benoit You, MD PhD, and his research team developed different models that allow the computation of individual kinetic profiles from a patient's treatment data. Enthused by the work he saw we did with DDI-Predictor, he contacted us to build a similar web application that would make use of these models to allow any practitioner to compute the efficacy of different cancer treatments for their patients.

What we built

Biomarker-kinetics.org offers different tools that let practitioners compute a score for their patients indicating the efficacy of cancer treatments. A graph is also generated to see how the model "fits" the data provided. Over the years we refined the website and added models, as well as worked on the ergonomics and ability to use it on smartphones.

About the client

The Hospices Civils de Lyon is a group of 13 public hospitals of excellence with 24,000 healthcare professionals representing all medical and surgical disciplines. It is also the 2nd largest university hospital (CHU) in France, thanks to its 11 schools and training institutes and its close ties with Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University.
